Licensing of School Leaders in Africa by AFTRA, 2024

AFTRA will soon commence the licensing of school leaders in Africa using the relevant continental teacher frameworks. This will create a pool of school leaders (head teachers and principals) who will be automatically recognised across national boundaries. This is to give effect to the Continental Education Strategy for Africa, CESA 2016-2025 Strategic Objective No. 1 which calls for the revitalisation of the teaching profession and other relevant Africa Union frameworks demanding the harmonisation and interoperability of the teaching profession in Africa.
