The Biennial Conference of the International Forum of Teacher Regulatory Authorities [IFTRA], the global umbrella of the teaching regulatory authorities, will take place in Pretoria, South Africa, June 16-18, 2026. The Conference will be hosted by the Africa Federation of Teaching Regulatory Authorities [AFTRA]. The hosting right was awarded to AFTRA at the last IFTRA Conference held in Brisbane, Australia, June 17-19, 2024. The South African Council for Educators (SACE) is working with AFTRA to see to the success of the 2026 Conference. 

Theme of the Conference: "Teacher
Policy for a Connected World: National and Transnational Cases and Best
Practices."

Conference fee: 500 US Dollars, covering the conference brochure, bag, tea, lunch, school visits, farewell dinner, city tour, and attendance certificate. This is payable online through this AFTRA website or by inter-bank transfer. The bank details will be provided only to invited delegates.
